Experience the Flavors and Events of Tampere Central Square Summer

The Central Square Summer opened on July 1st in the heart of Tampere. Visitors can enjoy summery events, high-quality treats, and a relaxed atmosphere all the way through to early September. Everyone is welcome at the Central Square event area, as it is free of charge and open to all ages.

The Central Square area (Keskustori) offers a wide range of restaurants, including Boulangerie Marco, Guru’s Kitchen & Bar, Kumma Bar & Street Kitchen, Los Pollos, Maranga, Ukkometso and Salsallada.

The menus feature a tempting selection of tapas, flavourful pasta dishes, and refreshing bowls and salads. You’ll also find mouthwatering burgers and a variety of finger foods, from crispy halloumi fries to classic onion rings.

Various Events of the Summer featured at Central Square

Tampere will host several major sports and cultural events this summer. The wide range of happenings will also be reflected at the Central Square, as event organizers bring their own program to the area. Information about the summer’s event offerings will be updated on the Central Square Summer website.

The terrace is well-prepared for changing summer weather, including a covered section equipped with heat lamps. There are also windbreaks and giant umbrellas.

The area, which is free of age restrictions and entrance fees, has a capacity of around 500 seats.

Central Square Welcomes Visitors Daily

The Central Square Summer area will be open daily until 3 September 2025.

The restaurants in the area are open daily from at least 11 am to 7 pm. Restaurants may extend their opening hours until 10 pm from Sunday to Thursday, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. In case of poor weather, restaurant services may be limited.
