Restaurants for Tampere Central Square Summer 2025 have been selected
This summer, the City of Tampere will create a pleasant event area in the city centre, offering a variety of activities, programme and restaurant services. Boulangerie Marco, Guru's Kitchen & Bar, Kumma Bar & Street Kitchen, Los Pollos, Maranga, Restaurant UkkoMetso and Salsallada have been selected as the restaurants.
According to Matilda Toriseva, event producer for the City of Tampere, the selected restaurants will highlight Tampere’s diverse food culture.
“We will have interesting restaurants in the central square with something for everyone. The restaurants will offer local tastes for tourists and international visitors to the major sport events of the summer,” says Toriseva.
Restaurants applying were required to have an interesting restaurant concept and food and beverage menu designed for the event area. The restaurant also had to have a permanent location in Tampere. The application period for restaurants ran from 4 March to 31 March 2025.
Throughout the summer, the event area will offer a variety of activities and programme. The area will also be a sports hub, with the summer’s major sports events bringing their own activities to the area. The event area will be open from 1 July to 3 September 2025, with no age restrictions and no entrance fees.
