The 2025 Disc Golf World Championships will take place in Tampere and Nokia from July 30 to August 3, marking the first time in history the event is held outside North America. By nearly every measure, the 2025 Championships will be the largest and most-watched disc golf event the world has ever seen.

The Finnish Broadcasting company YLE will park its Yle 100 bus at Central Square on Friday, August 8.

Festivaali is coming to the heart of Tampere!
This summer, you can find the Festivaali’s advance wristband exchange point at the Central Square Summer area in the heart of Tampere, Tue–Thu, August 19th–21st, from 2 PM to 9 PM! Come pick up your wristband, enjoy the Festival playlist featuring performing artists, and shop for official Festivaali merchandise – all before the grand finale of the summer.
At the end of August, the Festivaali will take over the breathtaking scenery of Pyynikki, bringing together top Finnish music acts like J. Karjalainen, Vesta, and Olavi Uusivirta – this is something you don’t want to miss!

Tune in to the joint concert by Apulanta and the Lahti Symphony Orchestra in the Central Square! You can pick up your own seed, which the band is distributing as part of the “Minusta kasvaa puu” (“I will grow into a tree”) project.
